Packing and Unpacking Your Home

Sometimes, packing and unpacking your home before and after the move is not an option. However, at DJ Hanley’s, we will do this job for you. Phone our office and let our friendly staff talk you through the process. We will let you know the cost and the best way to proceed with packing and moving your goods and furniture.

First, on the removal day, our specially trained professional crew arrives at the designated time you require. Second, we bring everything needed to pack and safely remove your goods (Wrapping paper, cardboard boxes, furniture wrapping guard, and tape). We also have special equipment to help us move large items and hand trucks to move the boxes.

We will also ensure you leave nothing behind and can check lofts, garden sheds, and garages. Finally, we will recheck your home once we secure your belongings in our removal truck.

How Our Home Packing Service Works

Once our friendly crew arrives, they will get straight to work. They will bring the boxes and materials needed to pack everything quickly and efficiently in your home. Usually, they start in one room and finish it before moving to the next. However, sometimes, this is not an option, and they might have to pack several rooms at once.

For example, they wrap delicate items (cups, glasses, ornaments, kitchen appliances, etc.) in wrapping paper before placing them into boxes. They also wrap larger items like chairs, couches, etc., with special plastic padding.

In addition, we carefully wrap valuable belongings in wooden or plastic crates. Meanwhile, our wardrobe boxes keep suits and dresses ready to wear. When we fill our removal truck, it goes back to our secure storage facility in Wicklow or straight to your new home.
