Plan: Planning your house move is vital. Have a timeline with everything needed for the move, and stick to your deadline.
Schedule: Reserve DJ Hanley's Removal and Storage well in advance. Doing this will relieve stress and help ease the house move.
Declutter: Moving house is the perfect time to declutter. Go through your belongings and decide what to keep, give to charity or put in a skip.
Buy Packing Supplies: Get strong cardboard boxes, paper, bubble wrap, and packing tape. You can also hire DJ Hanley's Packing team to do the work for you.
Label Your Boxes: Clearly label each box or bag with its contents and destination room, i.e. living room, kitchen, bathroom or bedroom.
Notify Change of Address: Inform the post office, banks, insurance companies, and other essential contacts (Family) of your new address.
Utilities: A few days before the move, arrange for the disconnection and reconnection of utilities such as electricity, gas, water, internet, and TV services. Also, taking meter readings using your phone is perfect.
Protect Your Valuables: Keep important documents, jewellery, and small valuable items with you. You can also give these items to trusted friends or family.
Prepare Your New Home: If possible, clean your new home and ensure all utilities are up and running before moving into your new home.

Don't Wait: Avoid leaving your packing to the last minute to reduce stress and ensure nothing's left behind in the back of a cupboard.
Don't Overpack Boxes: Don't overfill your packing boxes. It will make them too heavy to carry and might cause breakages
Don't Use Black Bags: Avoid using black bags for packing items you want to keep, as they can be mistaken for rubbish.
